Texas Landscape Photography Show, Natural, Human-made, and Everything In-Between
I am thrilled to announce the open call for the Texas Landscape Photography Show, Natural, Human-made, and Everything In-Between, and invite photographers residing in the state of Texas to submit works that explore and capture the profound and dynamic relationship between the Texan land and its diverse stories.
This photography show will celebrate both the inherent beauty of the Texan landscape and its role as a site of narrative, where culture, history, and environmental transformation converge. As Deborah Bright aptly noted, “Every representation of landscape is also a record of human values and actions imposed on the land over time” (Bright, 1985). In line with Bright’s insight, we invite photographers to submit works that depict aesthetically pleasing landscapes while simultaneously revealing the cultural values, ideologies, and histories embedded within them.
The show will be held at The Eclectika at 711 Art Gallery, an underground art space known for hosting a diverse range of exhibitions. This unique venue is a standout in the DFW area.
Submissions must be completed through Google Forms. The submission link, along with more specific details, will be provided during the designated submission period. Please check back closer to the submission dates to access the link and additional information.
